Not anywhere done this painting. It's a messy one, but I'm pushing myself. Been thinking a lot about this (Francis Bacon) and applying it to an article I'm writing:

I'm reading a novel by Bruce Byron Ray called The Lotus Hotel. I work with Bruce. The story is fascinating, full of fantastic imagery and poetic. I hope one day he will see his manuscript nicely bound in a book shop!

I am doing a series of paintings based on my take on his words.

A Strange Bird on wood panel

I've been very busy lately. I started a new job at Gallery Gachet. I've met so many lovely people the past two weeks I've blown over. And school requires lots of reading and concentration.

I did this painting spontaneously. Normally I plan, draw with pencil on the canvas and then start the endless layers of oil.
